Latvijas krajbanka losses at LVL 4.6 mln in H1

The joint-stock Latvijas krajbanka posted LVL 4.6 million in losses in the first six months of 2010, according to the bank's financial statement published at the NASDAQ OMC Riga website. In the first half of 2009, the bank's losses was almost by threefold less – LVL 1.6 million.

The Latvijas krajbanka concern's losses in the first half this year reached LVL 5.1 million, compared to losses of LVL 2.9 million during the same period last year, writes LETA.

 

As of June 30, the bank's assets stood at LVL 603 million, with increases of more than LVL 30 million during this period, the largest part of which is provided with increased deposits by local non-banks.

 

According to the statement, the bank has maintained cautious credit policy, scrutinizing each figure on credit, industry, return and risk. Latvijas krajbanka's avarage capital adequacy on June 30 was 11 to 12%, while the liquidity remained between 55 to 75%.

 

As reported, Latvijas krajbanka posted LVL 2.8 million in losses in the first quarter this year, according to information from "NASDAQ OMX Riga".

 

In the same period last year, Latvijas krajbanka earned LVL 820,000 in profit.

 

Latvijas krajbanka concern's losses in the first quarter this year reached LVL 2.83 million, compared to losses of LVL 2.51 million in the first three months last year.

 

LETA also reported, last year Latvijas krajbanka posted LVL 1.97 million in losses altogether.
