Latvia receives EUR 500 mln loan from European Commission

Print versionToday, Latvia received the third part of its loan from the European Commission – EUR 500 million, LETA was informed by the European Commission's mission in Latvia.

Today's loan is a part of the EUR 3.1 billion loan to Latvia from the European Commission.
Since January of 2009, Latvia has received EUR 2.7 billion worth of loans from international lenders.
As reported, this past February, the International Monetary Fund transferred a EUR 200 million loan to Latvia, which was the third part of the Monetary Fund's loan.
