Loan losses of Estonian banks grew to 4.4 billion kroons by end-October

Delfi added that in October, the level of shaky loans did not increase, the share of loans with payments more than 60 days late remained at the 6.4% level of portfolio. Yet the loan portfolio is expected to deteriorate in the coming months, said the central bank. The total volume of loans with delayed payments grew by 940 million kroons in October, mainly on account of corporate loans. The capitalization of banks was at the required high level.
The deposits or companies and households grew by 0.4 and 2.7% respectively in a year. Loan and leasing portfolios of Estonian households and companies fell by 0.4% or 2.2 billion kroons in October.
During the year, financing portfolios have fallen by 5.7% to 255.2 billion kroons. The volume of consumption loans issued to households has fallen by 9.2% or 2.8 billion kroons during the year.
