External assets of Bank of Lithuania increased by 3.6 mln litas in October

Print versionBoth external assets and external liabilities of the Bank of Lithuania increased by 3.6 billion litas (1.04 billion euros) and 470 million litas (135.89 million euros), respectively, in October 2009, amounting to 19.4 billion litas (5,60 billion euros) and 534.2 million litas (154,39 million euros) at the end of the month, the Bank of Lithuania reported.

Currency in circulation increased by 35.7 million litas to 7.8 billion litas in Lithuania at the end of the month, writes LETA.
Resident deposits with the Bank of Lithuania increased by 3.1 billion litas to 8.8 billion litas at the end of the month. Central government deposits went up by 3.1 billion litas to 5.9 billion litas at the end of October, while deposits of other monetary financial institutions increased by 438.5 million litas and made up 2.9 billion litas at the end of the month.
Capital and reserves increased by 14.3 million litas to two billion litas at the end of October.
