Lithuania's budget revenue EUR 830 mln below target in Jan-Jul
BC, Vilnius, 04.08.2020.Print version
Lithuania’s central government budget revenue missed the target by 829.8 million euros, or around 15 percent, in January through July and fell by some 7.7 percent, or 392.4 million euros, from its year-earlier level, the Finance Ministry reported on Tuesday citing preliminary estimations, reports LETA/BNS.
In July alone, budget revenue was 13.4 percent, or 111.8 million euros, short of target and about 2.8 percent, or 20.4 million euros, below the year-earlier figure.
"July's revenue collection reflects the results of June's activity, including tax deferrals for COVID-19-affected businesses as the latter grew around 61 million euros over a month and amounted to around 631 million euros in late June," the ministry said.
Updated figures on state and municipal budget revenue will be released in the second half of August.
This year's central government budget revenue is estimated at 9.548 billion euros, excluding EU funds, and 11.53 billion euros including EU funds.
