If has become the leading non-life insurance company in the Baltics, working as one legal entity under one brand name, at the moment its insurance market share in the Baltic countries is 13.7%, If Latvia spokeswoman Liga Letina told LETA.

Concluding the merger of If offices in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, one legal entity has been set up, If P&C Insurance AS.

If Head of Baltic Operations and Chairman of Management Board of If P&C Insurance AS, Andris Morozovs, points out that merging the three Baltic businesses into one pan-Baltic enterprise will consolidate its position in all three countries.

The merger is in customers' interest, especially those customers who wish to have pan-Baltic insurance. "A single Baltic company is a step toward where many of our corporate customers are headed," said Morozovs.

Private individuals and small enterprises will also benefit from If going Baltic, as the company will now be able to offer more extensive range of services to customers in all three countries. Quality customer service will be further improved in all three countries.

Altogether If has more than 300,000 clients in the Baltic countries.
