Lithuania's budget revenue EUR 112 mln above target in January-October

Lithuania's central government and local authorities collected a total of 6.702 billion euros in budget revenue in January through October 2017, which is 1.7% above the projected level, informs LETA/BNS.

The central government's budget revenue for the ten months came in at 5.382 billion euros, 0.06% below target, the Finance Ministry said on Friday. Revenue from taxes totaled 4.988 billion euros, 0.1 million euros less than planned.


Value-added tax (VAT) brought 2.879 billion euros into the state's coffers, 1.3% (EUR 37.6 mln) above the projected level, while excise duties contributed 1.104 billion euros, which is 1.4% (EUR 16.2 mln) below target.


Revenue from the corporate income tax, at 50 4 million euros, fell 8% (EUR 44 mln) short of the target and the personal income tax generated a total of 1.309 billion euros in central government and municipal budget revenue, some 5.6% (EUR 69.9 pct), more than planned.


This year's central government budget projects 6.386 billion euros in annual revenue not including EU funds and 8.487 billion euros including EU funds.
