Lithuania's Jan-Feb budget revenue EUR 32.4 mln above target

Lithuania's central government and local authorities collected a total of 1.2 billion euros in budget revenue during the first two months of this year, exceeding the revenue target for the period by 32.4 mln euros, or 2.7%, the Finance Ministry said LETA/BNS on Monday.

The central government's budget revenue for January through February came in at 1 bln euros, some 8 mln euros, or 0.8%, above the projected level.


The value-added tax brought 666.7 mln euros into the state's coffers, some 14.2 mln euros, or 2.2%, more than planned.


Excise tax revenue totaled 199.9 mln euros, some 0.9%  below the estimate. Revenue from the corporate income tax, at 1.8 million euros, fell 30.3% short of the target.


The personal income tax generated a total of 207.7 mln euros in central government and municipal budget revenue, some 4.8% more than planned.


This year's central government budget projects 6.386 bln euros in annual revenue not including EU funds and 8.487 bln euros including EU funds.
