LTV names four candidates shortlisted for third round of competition for Revenue Service's chief
TV3 commercial television reported earlier that Nikitins is
the deputy head of the Financial Stability Department at the Bank of Latvia,
Rumba is a tax planning expert from Deloitte Latvia audit company, Cirule had
worked at Balta and Gjensidige Baltija insurance companies and Klauss is
Executive Director of the Latvian Timber Industry Federation.
As reported, a total of nineteen candidates applied for the
vacant post of the Revenue Service's head, and eight of them were selected for
the second round.
Earlier, the State Chancellery said that the
commission assessing candidates for the State Revenue Service chief had
shortlisted four candidates for the third round of the competition. During the
third round the candidates will meet external experts – independent human
resources specialists who will assess their competence.
Later the commission will decide which candidate or
candidates will be selected for the meeting with Finance Minister Dana
Reizniece-Ozola (Greens/Farmers).
The previous competition for the Revenue Service's director
general failed as the commission decided that none of the candidates was
eligible for the third round. Finance Minister Dana Reizniece-Ozola then
offered the job to the State Environmental Service's Director General Inga
Kolegova, who accepted the offer but later withdrew her candidacy after the
Revenue Service found that she had failed to provide full and accurate
information about large transactions in her declaration of assets and income.
