100 biggest tax debtors owe EUR 293.732 mln to Latvian state

Latvia's top 100 tax debtors owed EUR 293.732 mln to the state as at September 1, 2016, which is by 0.2% more than a month ago, according to the information from the State Revenue Service (VID) writes LETA.

Since early May Tendem Neman electronic goods wholesaler is at the top of the list of Latvia's biggest tax debtors with a debt worth EUR 43.742 mln. The company’s operations were suspended on February 18. According to Firmas.lv business database, the company belongs to a Lithuanian individual.


The second largest tax debtor is M4U company with EUR 34.012 mln in unpaid taxes. Its sole owner is a Russian individual.


Individual Jevgenijs Jakovlevs was the third biggest tax debtor with EUR 19.16 mln worth of unpaid taxes. AVT Nafta oil product wholesaler, which owes EUR 9.646 mln to the Latvian state, was the fourth biggest tax debtor in Latvia at the beginning of September.


Further down the list was individual Vadims Mitrofanovs with a tax debt of EUR 8.973 mln, Eco Tyre Baltics with EUR 8.432 mln tax debt, Krasainie Lejumi metalworking company with EUR 8.208 mln.


The metal and metal ore wholesaler Future Vision had a tax debt worth EUR 5.67 mln, Membrant had a tax debt worth EUR 5.576 mln, while the private individual Jurijs Sapurovs owes the state EUR 4.116 mln.


Latvia's biggest tax debtors also include such companies and Dzintars cosmetics company, Pilsetmaju Instituts Urban Art, as well as a number of well-known businessmen and land owners.
