Tax revenues 0.4% above target in Latvia in 5 months

Print versionTax revenues in the Latvian general government consolidated budget reached EUR 2.983 million in the first five months of 2016, beating the target by 0.4% and growing by EUR 129 million, or 4.5%, against the same period last year, LETA was told at the Finance Ministry.

Latvia closed the first five months of this year with a budget surplus of EUR 188.6. Compared to the first five months of 2015, the budget surplus contracted by EUR 69 million as foreign financial assistance decreased and expenditures rose.
In the first five months of 2016, Latvia’s budget expenditures grew by EUR 76.9 million, or 2.2% year-on-year, to EUR 3.63 million.
