Estonian state budget tax revenue 478 mln euros in September

In September 2015, the Estonian Tax and Customs Board collected EUR 478.5 million in taxes, which is 5.5% more than in the same month a year earlier; the Ministry of Finance says that this refers to rapid wage growth, cites LETA.

Social tax revenue has increased every month this year as compared to last year. The growth was fast in September too, 8.1% while the declared wage fund grew by 6.1% and the growth in the number of wage earners stopped.

 

Excise tax collection was in September EUR 77.4 mln, by 6 mln more than last year. VAT collection growth was in September 3.4%, supported by strong retail sales of goods.

 

In nine months, 4.367 billion euros has been collected in taxes, 7.1% more than last year and 75.3% of the total plan for the year.

 

In nine months, collection of direct taxes, i.e. income tax and social tax primarily was higher than planned.
