Latvian Cabinet supports 2016 budget project

Print versionThe government of Latvia today supported the 2016 national budget bill, which projects revenue at EUR 7.37 billion, but expenditures at EUR 7.65 billion, informs LETA.

Compared to the 2015 budget, revenue is expected to increase by EUR 114.2 million, but expenditures – by EUR 183.2 million.
GDP in 2016 is projected at EUR 26.13 billion.
The permissible total budget deficit has been set at 1% of GDP.
The maximum national debt level at the end of 2016 has been set at EUR 10.1 billion.
Local governments will be earmarked EUR 338.6 million in subsidies, including EUR 36.47 million from the national budget.
