Average income of Estonian tax-payers grew by nearly 5% in 2014

According to the Tax and Customs Board, the average annual gross income per person in 2014 grew by 4.8% in the year-on-year comparison, to 11,758 euros, writes LETA/Postimees Online.

A total of 666,898 persons declared having earned income in 2014 to the Tax and Customs Board, and the total income exceeded 6.7 billion euros.

 

In one year, the number of those declaring income from leasing out real estate grew significantly, as did the number of income tax returns submitted.

 

In 2014, the average annual declared gross income amounted to 11,758 euros, which means an average of 980 euros per month. A year before the amount had been 11,223 euros per year, and 935 euros per month.
