Estonian LHV planning to get listed on stock market in 2016

BC, Tallinn, 24.08.2015.Print version
Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LHV Bank Rain Lõhmus revealed on Monday that the bank is planning to be listed on the stock market next year, writes Äripäev.ee/LETA.

LHV will issue bonds next month on the Tallinn Stock Exchange.

“In approximately a year, LHV wishes to be a public enterprise, listed on the stock market,” said Lõhmus at LHV's press conference on Monday. He estimated that among the Baltic States, Estonia is the only country where the banking sector has yielded solid earnings.

“For six years, we have heard that there is no point in competing against large banks. However, one can work miracles with smart colleagues,” said Lõhmus.

LHV's plan is to expand also outside their home market. The expansion plans are not restricted to the Baltic States, but the objective is also to expand to the European market. “We see that there is room for growth for decades,” said Lõhmus.
