Growing number of housing loans in Estonia taken with KredEx guarantees

Print versionIn the second quarter of 2015, banks issued 540 housing loans with KredEx guarantees, in the total amount of 32.2 million euros, writes LETA/Delfi.

Whereas the housing loans market has grown by 22.8% in the year-on-year comparison, the volume of loans issued with KredEx guarantees has grown by 29.3%.
Of all housing loans issued in Estonia, the volume of housing loans issued with KredEx guarantee accounted for an average of 13% in the second quarter.
KredEx have been issuing housing loan guarantees since 2000, and during that time a total of 24,099 households have improved their living conditions with the help of KredEx, among them 14,088 young families, 9,922 young specialists, 62 tenants living in houses returned in the framework of property reform, and 27 veterans.
