Budget deficit of Lithuania's Social Insurance Fund decreases by a third in H1

Based on preliminary data, in the first half of 2015 compared with the first half of 2014, budget deficit of the State Social Insurance Fund in Lithuania (Sodra) was by EUR 60 million lower, reports LETA.

Sodra's budget revenue stood at EUR 1.50 billion in January-June 2015. Although it was by 0.5% (EUR 7.9 million) below projections, yet increased by 8% (EUR 111.7 million) compared with the same period in 2014.

 

Sodra's budget expenditure in the first half of 2015 totalled EUR 1.66 billion. It was by 1.8% (EUR 30.1 million) lower than projected but by 3.2% (EUR 51.7 million) higher compared with the same period in 2014.

 

In the first half of 2015, budget deficit of the State Social Insurance Fund (Sodra) was EUR 152.8 million. It was by 12.7% (EUR 22.2 million) below projections and by 28.2% (EUR 60 million) lower compared with the same period in 2014.
