CPB sees violations in election spending by Latvian Unity, Harmony and Greens/Farmers

The Corruption Prevention Bureau in Latvia has determined that Unity, Harmony, the Union of Greens and Farmers, as well as several other smaller parties which did not get voted into Saeima, have committed election spending violations during the 12th Saeima elections, informs LETA.

Overall, the CPB determined that these parties spent a total of EUR 71,325 in undeclared election spending.

 

The CPB has thus issued fines for the six parties totaling EUR 5,300.

 

The bureau has also determined that Unity overspent the election spending limit by EUR 43,014, while the Greens/Farmers accepted an illegal donation of EUR 572 from a private individual.
