Lithuanian Social Insurance Fund posts all-time high revenue in 4 months

In the first four months of 2015 the State Social Insurance Fund (Sodra) budget revenue was the highest since its establishment and totalled EUR 945.7 million, reports LETA/ELTA.

EUR 945.7 budget revenue was received in January-April 2015 and this is by 6.7% (EUR 59 million) more compared with the same period of 2014. However this is by 1.1% (EUR 10.7 million) less than projected.

 

The previous record of budget revenue was observed in 2008, when EUR 920.9 million was collected in four months.

 

Sodra's budget expenditure in the first four months of 2015 amounted to EUR 1.1 billion. This is by 2.4% (EUR 25.6 million) more compared with the first four months of 2014, but by 1.9% (EIR 21.3 million) less than projected.

 

Since January to the end of April Sodra posted a deficit of EUR 158.9 million. This is by 17.4% (EUR 33.5 million) less than in the related period of 2014 and by 6.3% (EUR 10.6 million) less that projected.
