On Wednesday, High Court in London dismissed the challenge of Vladimir Antonov and Raimondas Baranauskas, the suspects in the bank Snoras case, to stop extradition to Lithuania, reports LETA/ELTA.

The court upheld the decision of January 2014 made by the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court, under which the request of Lithuanian Prosecutor General's Office to extradite Antonov and Baranauskas to Lithuania had been satisfied.

In January 2014, the Westminster Magistrates Court announced that it had approved of Lithuania's extradition request against Antonov and Baranauskas, former owners of the bankrupt bank Snoras.

Lithuanian authorities issued a European arrest warrant for the pair in November 2011 following a pre-trial hearing into the alleged multi-million fraud.

As reported, Lithuania nationalized the bank on 16 November, 2014, having concerns about the bank's assets. Afterwards, the bank was declared bankrupt. Baranauskas and Antonov owned 25.31% and 68.1% of the bank's shares, respectively.
