SEB's profit in Estonia amounts to 20.2 mln euros in Q1

SEB's Estonian units ended the first quarter of 2015 with a 20.2 million euro profit, which is by 0.9 million euros less than at the same time last year, LETA/Delfi Ärileht reports.

SEB Board Chairman Riho Unt said that the Estonian economy is helped to keep on growth track by domestic consumption, and in case there are no setbacks in the recovery of the European economy, there are good prerequisites for the continued strengthening of economic growth in Estonia.

 

SEB ended the first quarter of 2014 with a 21.1 million euros profit.

 

SEB's operating income in the first quarter of 2015 amounted to 35 million euros (33.8 million in the first quarter of 2014), and the operating costs to 15.4 million euros (14.4 million in the first quarter of 2014).

 

The bank reduced the loan loss provisions for the first quarter of 2015 by 2.9 million euros (1.6 mln euros in the same period in 2014).
