Balta in Latvia concludes 2014 with EUR 1.056 mln in losses

Print versionThe insurance company Balta concluded 2014 with EUR 1.056 million in losses, according to the company's financial statement, cites LETA.

In 2013, Balta suffered losses in the amount of EUR 2.247 million.
In 2014, Balta collected EUR 49.646 million in premiums. This is 11% more than in 2013, when the amount of premiums was EUR 44.773 million.
The total amount of insurance indemnities in 2014 reached EUR 29.913 million, which is 16% more than in 2013, when the figure was EUR 25.695.
Net operating costs in 2014 reached EUR 19.06, a slight decrease from EUR 19.6 million in 2013.
In 2014, the Polish PZU Group became the new owner of Balta. In February, 2015, Balta changed its visual identity.
