Income, loan portfolio of Lithuanian Central Credit Union grows in 2014

The Lithuanian Central Credit Union (LCKU) earned EUR 257,000 in 2014, by 12% more compared to 2013, when it earned EUR 229,000. The LCKU provides financial services to 63 credit unions, reports LETA/ELTA.

According to Fortunatas Dirgincius, CEO of the LCKU, the company's loan portfolio amounted to EUR 22.1 million last year. This is by 12.4% more than in 2013, when its loan portfolio was EUR 19.7 million. The company's capital at the end of 2014 was EUR 9 million, by 8.4% more than in late 2013. Moreover, Assets increased by 5.3% to EUR 111.7 million.

 

Deposit portfolio grew insignificantly, from EUR 88.2 million in late 2013 to EUR 90.3 million in late 2014.

 

On 31 December 2014, the liquidity ratio of the LCKU was 137%, whereas the required amount is above than 30%.

 

The LCKU unites 63 of 75 credit unions operating in Lithuania. Only unions of the LCKU system provide a wide range of services such as electronic banking i-Unija, payment for utility services, money transfers in Lithuania and abroad, and support of payment cards MasterCard and Maestro. The activities of the 63 credit unions are supervised by the Bank of Lithuania and the LCKU.
