Eesti Energia reaches agreement with Outotec over Enefit280 oil plant

BC, Tallinn, 26.11.2014.Print version
Estonia's state-owned energy giant Eesti Energia informed the London Stock Exchange that it reached an agreement with Outotec over the Enefit280 oil plant, reports LETA.

In 2009, Outotec Gmbh & Co KG was contracted by Eesti Energia group companies to design, construct and commission the new oil plant Enefit280 in Auvere, Estonia. Delay in oil plant commissioning brought about discussions between Eesti Energia and Outotec, how to best resolve the situation.

Eesti Energia with its group companies and Outotec have signed an agreement to settle the differences among them for an undisclosed financial consideration. The EUR 28 million claim by Outotec disclosed in Eesti Energia Annual Report 2013 was settled as part of this total compensation settlement.

The parties have also confirmed they will have no further claims against each other in connection with the oil plant Enefit280, Eesti Energia announced.
