According to Moniz, Lithuania stands as an example to those countries which are currently dealing with energy security problems. Lithuanian energy achievements contribute to energy security both in the Baltic region and the entire Europe.

Participants of the Atlantic Council Energy and Economic Summit discussed global energy trends and current challenges to European energy security and to other regions.

During the ministers' session, Lithuania's Energy Minister Masiulis presented Lithuanian achievements in ensuring energy security in the country and the region: LNG terminal in Klaipeda for gas supply diversification, construction of energy links with Poland and Sweden.

All participants of the ministers' session highlighted the importance of enhancing energy security and named Lithuania as an example of addressing energy issues.
