Electricity bourse NPS price fell by 6.4% in October

The average electricity price was 40.22 EUR per MWh in October in the Nordic electricity bourse Nord Pool Spot (NPS) Estonian price region, by 6.4% lower than in September, LETA/Postimees Online reports.
In October, also the record lowest day-ahead market price of this year was recorded – 7.02 EUR/MWh, reported Estonian electricity grid company Elering.
Estonian and Finnish electricity prices were equal in almost 84% of hours, but with Latvia the time was just 38%.
The entire NPS system's price fell in October as compared to September by 12.3% to 30.61 EUR per megawatt-hour.
In Latvia the price fell by 6.5% to 53.73 EUR per MWh and in Lithuania the average was 53.82 EUR.
Carbon dioxide emission quota prices in October were in the range of 5.66-6.39 euros per tonne, the same level as in September. Natural gas was imported in October for an average price of 32.13 euros per megawatt hour to Estonia.
