Electricity bourse price grew nearly 10% in September
The average price was increased mainly by the Estonian-Finnish electricity connection Estlink 2 being out of order for some days.
Despite the disruptions in the Estonian-Finnish electricity connection in September, Estonian and Finnish electricity prices were equal in almost 82% of hours, reported Estonian electricity grid company Elering.
The entire NPS system's price grew in September as compared to August by 8.9% to 34.91 EUR per megawatt-hour.
Prices grew 3.9% in Latvia and Lithuania, to 57.49 EUR per MWh and in Finland they were unchanged at 38.33 EUR.
Carbon dioxide emission quota prices in September were in the range of 5.65-6.39 euros per tonne, the same level as in August. Natural gas was imported in September for an average price of 32.24 euros per megawatt hour to Estonia.
