Mandatory to be bought LNG amounts distributed to Lithuanian companies

Natural gas trading company Litgas has distributed gas amounts, mandatory to be purchased from the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, to heating producers and the Elektrenai Power Plant, reports LETA/ELTA.

In proportion to their needs, heating producers were given 540 million cubic metres of LNG per year.

 

The national electricity generation company Lietuvos Energijos Gamyba, the main heat supplier in Vilnius Vilniaus Energija and Kaunas Combined Heat and Power Plant were obliged to purchase the greatest share of gas (176 million cubic metres, 134.7 million cubic metres, 29 million cubic metres respectively).

 

Heat supplier Sirvintu Siluma will have to buy the smallest amount of LNG from the terminal – 3,900 cubic metres.

 

Litgas is a natural gas trading company and a LNG supplier via LNG terminal currently being built in Klaipeda. Litgas is controlled by the energy company Lietuvos Energija.
