German company wins first wind-turbine contract in Lithuania

Print versionHamburg-based maker of wind turbines Nordex SE has won a contract to supply a 24-megawatt power-plant project in Lithuania, reports LETA/ELTA, referring to Bloomberg.

From spring of 2015, Nordex will deliver eight of its
3-megawatt machines to the Jubarkas town wind farm, the company said today in a
statement.
It also won a 15-year contract to
service the plant, which is due to start operating in November 2015.
Jubarkas town is located about 50
kilometres from the Baltic Sea in the western part of
