Gasum will sell Estonian subsidiary to Alexela Energy
The transaction is a part of Gasum’s strategy to focus on developing the gas market in Finland and in the Nordic countries.
The transaction will take place in September or October 2014, according to plans, if the companies will manage to meet the conditions for the deal, including an agreement from the Competition Board.
“Although the enterprise will change owners, local gas supply will continue without disruptions,” assured CEO of Alexela Energia Marti Hääl.
Gasum Estonia operates distribution and sales of natural gas to small and medium-sized enterprises and households in the vicinity of Tallinn, in the region of Rapla and Tabasalu, administering and maintaining 62 kilometres of gas pipes.
Gasum Estonia generated nearly 2 million euros in turnover in 2013, and has a staff of 4 employees.
