Biofuel price in Lithuania is at its record low level in April

Print versionBiofuel price in Baltpool energy exchange continued to fall on Wednesday. In this week's auction biofuel price fell by 20% compared to the average price in March and on average stood at LTL 513.29 (EUR 148.66) per toe (tonne of oil equivalent), informs LETA/ELTA.

It is the lowest price throughout the biofuel exchange activity history and is lower by as much as one third compared to February when biofuel was the most expensive.
In Wednesday's trading session it was for the first time traded in Panevezys district where the price of separate transactions fell to LTL 506.5 (EUR 146.69) per toe. Historically most active trading zones remained Vilnius and Kaunas.
On Wednesday transactions worth a total of LTL 148,000 (EUR 43,000) were completed.
