The negotiations over the purchase of Lithuanian natural gas transmission system operator's Amber Grid shares owned by the German company E.ON Ruhrgas International GmbH are planned to be concluded next week, says Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius, informs LETA/ELTA.

As reported, the prime minister revealed the information about the ongoing non-public negotiations with E.ON Ruhrgas International GmbH last week.

"So far the negotiations are taking place, and I believe that next week the final decisions will be made," said Butkevicius after the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

The prime minister declined to provide more details due to the ongoing negotiations.

It is estimated that Amber Grid shares owned by the Russian concern Gazprom and the German company E.ON Ruhrgas International GmbH are worth approximately LTL 294 million (EUR 85 million).
