Grybauskaite's advisor: LNG project is carried out on schedule

Chief presidential advisor on economic and social policy issues Nerijus Udrenas says that construction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal is proceeding on schedule and construction of the terminal is expected to approach the end by 2014, informs LETA/ELTA.

"Yes, indeed, we should be happy about such news, the new management of the port of Klaipeda paid priority attention to the port dredging. The schedule was tight but work was finished on time," said Udrenas in an interview on the radio Ziniu Radijas, Tuesday morning.

 

Recently it was announced that Klaipeda port dredging was completed and reached the proper depth for the terminal. Since dredging of the port is done, according to Udrenas, now the way for jetty construction and pipeline which will link jetty with trunk pipelines is opened.
