Print versionEstonia's President Toomas Hendrik Ilves says that it would take part in the project development of the Visaginas Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) if only Lithuania submitted good proposal. However, Prime Minister Algridas Butkevicius says that such proposal had already been presented more than a month ago, reports LETA/ELTA.
"Proposals to Estonia had been submitted a month ago. It is surprising that recently rumours have been spreading that the Government has not decided, that the Government does not know. The people who are talking about it should assume full responsibility and stop spreading lies. The study by Lithuanian Energy Institute is already carried out and presented to Estonia and Latvia. Conditions under which we can build the nuclear power plant are already considered but only when we find the common agreement with our partners," said the PM in an interview on the national radio.
