Price of LitPol Link interconnection stands at EUR 283,827

According to CEO of Litgrid Virgilijus Poderys, construction of interconnection link is a big challenge for Lithuanian energy professionals, therefore foreign expertise and experience is used.
"We build such powerful electrical device – a cross-system connection line which will operate in countries that have different electrical systems for the first time in history and we have to do it very professionally and responsibly. This link is not only one of the most important conditions for Lithuania's energy independence but also the first step in connecting Lithuanian power system with Western Europe," said Poderys.
The value of the contract stands at LTL 980,000 (EUR 283,827). It will be funded by the Ignalina International Decommissioning Support Fund.
