Energy Minister of Lithuania met with Alexander Medvedev from Gazprom

Print versionYesterday Energy Minister Jaroslav Neverovich met with Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Alexander Medvedev. The officials during the meeting discussed the gas market issues and other general issues, informs LETA/ELTA, referring to Respublika.

According to the daily Respublika sources, there were no negotiations held during their meeting as the purpose of it was to get introduced to each other. The minister also confirmed it.
Yet, parliament's opposition leader, former Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius immediately attacked the new minister. According to him, a new government should not begin its work from some secret meetings. However, energy experts find Kubilius' anger rather strange.
It was reported about the meeting in advance, nothing important was decided during it. While back in Kubilius' government times, society had no right to know about anything related to the energy sector.
