New power plant in Klaipeda to cost about 0.14 billion euros

Print versionNew thermal power plant in Klaipeda, whose construction project will be carried out by the company Fortum Klaipeda, will preliminary cost about 0.5 billion litas (0.14 billion euros).

The shares of the company, carrying out the project are owned by Klaipedos Energija and company of the Finnish capital Fortum Heat Lietuva, reports ELTA.
Before the beginning of construction works of the new thermal power plant the detail assessment of the environmental impact will be carried out.
The Environmental Protection Department of Klaipeda region has already confirmed the programme for assessment of the environmental impact, which was prepared by the company AF-Enprima on the order of Fortum Klaipëda.
This programme sets to carry out the assessment of the impact of the power plant for air, public health, landscape, current infrastructure, social, economic and other types of environment.
