Lietuvos Energija earned net profit of 17.8 million euros in H1 2008

Print versionAccording to preliminary consolidated data, in January-June 2008, the group of Lietuvos Energija, subsidiary of the national investor LEO LT, earned a net profit of 61.2 million litas (17.8 million euros), an increase of 1.8 times year-on-year.
The pre-audited revenues of Lietuvos Energija companies group in the first half of this year stood at 676.9 million litas (196 million euros), reports ELTA.
The company explains that the growth of the profit was mainly determined by an increase in the transference of electricity and growing exports prices, as well as the optimization of expenditures and the peculiarities of the trade on wholesale market.
Lietuvos Energa group earned a net profit of 49.5 million litas (14.4 million euros) last year, and Lietuvos Energija alone earned 48.9 million litas (14.24 million euros).
