Different developers have planned wind parks of more than 600 MW.
Family Sonajalg plans two wind parks. One of them is going to be in Siragala with power of 500 MW and the other will be in Purtse and its power will be 40 MW.
25% of energy Estonia uses must be renewable, according to UNO Framework Convention on Climate Change. That means that the share of wind parks in energy production will be bigger.
Marek Strandberg, the head of Green Party, said that renewable energy may be the key of enlivening the economy.
