Riga housing management company decided to pay debt for last heating season

BC, Riga, 18.09.2020.Print version
The board of the municipal Rigas Namu Parvaldnieks (RNP) housing management company last night decided to pay the debt for the last heating season and ensure heating connections for residential buildings, the company's spokesman Krists Leiskalns confirmed to LETA.

The company has not commented in more detail how they plan to cover these costs, but it has to find around EUR 2.6 million.

As Ronalds Neimanis, the Chairman of the Board of the company, pointed out to LETA before the meeting, the owners of apartments in residential buildings managed by RNP remain in debt of two to three million euros every heating season.

Problems with paying bills are similar to private managers. There is no easy solution to this situation. However, Neimanis was determined to find ways for the buildings managed by RNP to get their heating connections.

As Leiskalns added, the connection of heating to residential buildings will depend mainly on the weather.

As reported, the first RNP apartment building was connected for heating on September 11.
