A new large shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Norway is on its way to the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda, marking the 18th such cargo in the gas year that started last October, LETA/BNS informed.

"The Arctic Princess is scheduled to arrive in the port of Klaipeda in the early hours of September 12," Klaipedos Nafta, the Klaipeda LNG terminal's operator, told. "The gas carrier is carrying 138,000 cubic meters of LNG."

The tanker is coming from Norway's Melkoya port where Equinor has a LNG production facility, according to the vessel position tracking websites Marinetraffic.com and Myshiptracking.com.

The Klaipeda LNG terminal has also handled four large gas shipments from the US and 48 cargoes of some 10,000 cubic meters each from the Baltic Sea port of Vysotsk, where Russia's Novatek has a LNG production facility, in the current gas year.
