Sadales Tikls by 2022 plans to cut number of employees by 810

Latvia’s Sadales Tikls power grid operator by 2022 plans to cut the number of employees by 810, the company’s representative Tatjana Smirnova told LETA.

Compared to early 2017, the number of jobs in the company has been reduced by 367 by now.


The company’s car park will also be reduced – by 407 vehicles until 2022, and by now it has already been reduced by 126 cars.


The company plans to introduce rational changes in resource management, including placement of laborfoce, mobility, at the same time, improving customer service quality. The project to improve efficiency will reduce the company’s costs by EUR 26 million by 2022.


As reported, Sadales Tikls achieved EUR 324.114 million in turnover last year, 2.6% up on 2016, while the company's profit totaled EUR 124.268 million as compared to losses the company posted in 2016.


Sadales Tikls is the operator of Latvia's power distribution system. The company belongs to the state-owned power utility Latvenergo.
