Kaldoja has been a member of the supervisory board of Eesti Energia since September 2015.

The election of the chairman follows the appointment of a new composition of the supervisory board by the general meeting of Eesti Energia last week. The supervisory board of Eesti Energia is made up of the following members: Vaino Kaldoja, Kaie Karniol, Einari Kisel, Andres Liinat, Ivo Palu, Ants Pauls and Danel Tuusis. All members have been appointed for a period of three years effective from May 12, 2017, Eesti Energia said.

Kaldoja is founder and CEO of Silberauto, Estonian dealer for Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi and Jeep. He is also chairman of the board of the Estonian Business Association ( EBA) and longtime member of the board of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
