Latvijas Gaze, Dzintars hold talks to reach agreement on outstanding gas bills

Latvijas Gaze warned at the beginning of this week that it will cut gas supplies to Dzintars if the debt is not paid by today.
Representatives of Dzintars and Latvijas Gaze have been meeting this week and Dzintars has assured that the debt has been partly paid, Latvijas Gaze said.
Meanwhile, negotiations between the two companies are ongoing on the remaining part of the cosmetics company's debt to the gas supplier. Latvijas Gaze is therefore not going to cut gas supplies to Dzintars yet.
At the beginning of January 2016, Dzintars ranked among Latvia's biggest tax debtors with a tax debt of EUR 2.222 million, according to the State Revenue Service's data.
Latvijas Gaze is engaged in purchasing, transportation, storage and distribution of natural gas. The company is quoted on the Secondary List of the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.
