Lithuania’s Voltas hopes to double turnover in 2015

Lithuania’s electrical engineering solutions company Voltas expects its turnover to double this year, to 7 million euros, the Verslo Zinios business daily reports on Tuesday, cites LETA/BNS.

A project on electrification of a wind farm in the district of Silute and works in Belarus had provided the biggest impetus for growth, Voltas CEO, Darius Levickis, told the daily.

The company carried out works, worth approximately 3 million euros, at a 60 MW wind farm developed in the district of Silute by a company controlled by Estonia’s Nelja Energia.

“Austria’s Kronospan, the leading European manufacturer of wood-based panels, is building a production facility in the free economic zone of Mogilev. We’ve managed to bag an order, worth 1.6 million euros, to electrify this facility. We’ve been working there for three months now and should complete the project by the end of the year,” Levickis said.
