Vitol purchases 43.25% shares in Ventspils nafta for EUR 79.98 mln

Print versionVitol, a company that owns 49.98% of shares in the joint-stock oil company Ventspils nafta, has acquired another 43.25% that was owned by the joint-stock company Latvijas Naftas Tranzits (LNT) for about EUR 79.98 million, according to an announcement from Ventspils nafta.

Thus, Vitol Group' s holding company Euromin Holdings (Cyprus) Limited now owns 93.24% shares in the company and thus majority voting rights, writes LETA.
Ventspils nafta and its subsidiaries operated with EUR 21.22 million in profit in the first half of the year.
The company also reported that consolidated income in January-June rose 7.6% to EUR 95.66 million, and gross profit increased 21.7% to EUR 27.58 million.
