Electricity price stable in Nord Pool Spot at end-June

On 23-28 June 2015, the average electricity price in the Nord Pool Spot Lithuanian bidding area was EUR 40.87/MWh, and was very similar to that of the previous week. Compared to the same period a year ago, the price last week was by one quarter smaller, writes LETA/ELTA.

The average price on the entire Nord Pool Spot system was EUR 15.18/MWh.

 

Lithuania imported on average 64% of electricity it consumed. Nearly half of electricity was imported from Latvia, Estonia and Finland, while the remaining share was imported from third countries.

 

On 22-28 June, international Latvia-Estonia interconnection capacity was used on average at 93%, Lithuania-Latvia – at 30% and Lithuania-Belarus – at 59%.
