Ventbunkers terminal handles 2.4 mln tons oil products in 2014

The Freeport of Ventspils previously announced that Ventbunkers cargo turnover has reduced by 36%, as compared to 2013.
The company's representatives explained that in 2014, the company achieved excellent results in terms of heavy crude oil turnover – a 42% increase as compared to 2013. In 2014, a total of 2.2 million tons of heavy crude oil was handled by Ventbunkers.
The demand for heavy crude oil handling services increased significantly at the end of 2014 – a total of 313,902 tons of heavy crude oil was handled in November, which is three times more than in November 2014, and in December – 203,931 tons, which is two times more than in December 2014.
In 2014, the terminal handled 199,960 tons of light crude oil, including biodiesel.
In 2013, the company turned over EUR 69.5 million, which is 17% more than in 2012, while net profit reached EUR 19.2 million, as compared to EUR 128,000 in 2012.
