Kaunas University of Technology receives National Energy Globe award
KTU Institute of Environmental Engineering (APINI) won National Energy Globe award for Lithuania with its master degree programme in Environmental Management and Cleaner Production, reports LETA/ELTA.
Energy Globe Awards are today's most prominent and prestigious environmental awards. Each year some 800 projects and initiatives from all over the world are submitted to compete for the award in the categories Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Youth. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, KTU master degree programme in Environmental Management and Cleaner Production was selected from over 6000 projects from 151 countries.
The programme is a two-year masters course in Environmental Management and Cleaner Production, a total of 120 ETCS Credits, suitable for graduates with qualifications in many engineering fields such as Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Technology and others.
It is the second Energy Globe award received by KTU Institute of Environmental Engineering. In 2008 the Institute was awarded the National Energy Globe award for the development of SPIN (System for Preventive Energy Saving & Waste Minimization Innovation Development and Implementation) with the purpose of promoting development and implementation of energy-saving and waste-avoiding preventive innovations.
