Higher education institutions in Latvia will apply distance learning by year end

In order to curb the Covid-19 spread, higher education institutions will have to ensure remote studies by the end of the year, LETA learned from the Health Ministry.
The government decided today that distance learning will be in force by the end of the year, but at the same time, practical classes, if necessary, can be organized on site, but following all epidemiological safety measures.
As reported, on October 23, the government decided to apply such a solution for a time period from October 26 until November 15.
The higher education institutions so far been encouraged to organize as much of the teaching process remotely as possible.
